How to enable the 8-Bit player option in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014
A:
I know this is old but I just now stumbled on this question and figured I would throw a possible solution out. I was having similar problems and I had someone tell me to try an older version of Premiere to see if it would help. It didn't. I tried playing around with the Audio-Video settings and I noticed that under the Audio-Video Setup tab, there was a setting called Playback Options. If I set it to Playback Options - Selected Input, I no longer got the black screen when I played back a sequence. I'm guessing that I'm not supposed to use this feature of Premiere with the latest version of Premiere Pro. This is not my Premiere, but hopefully this will help someone else.
Babu II of Bagratid
Babu II was a member of the Bagratid royal family of the Kingdom of Armenia from 1052/53 to 1066/67. According to the modern Armenian historians, he was an uncle of King David IV of Armenia.
Biography
Babu was a brother of Prince Gagik II Bagratuni, the son of King Constantine I of Armenia. The latter was defeated in 1030 by the Byzantine Empire and exiled to Constantinople. As a result of this, the Bagratids were excluded from the Armenian throne.
Babu claimed the throne of the Kingdom of Armenia in 1052/53, during the absence of David IV on a military expedition to Syria. However, this attempt was unsuccessful. The Byzantine Emperor Constantine IX Monomachos refused to recognize Babu's authority and placed Gagik on the Armenian throne. The Byzantine government did not recognize Babu's claims either. He appealed to his brother King Constantine I of Georgia and the Byzantine Empire.
When David IV returned from his military expedition to Syria and Bagratuni died, the government of the Byzantine Empire appointed Gagik Bagratuni to the Armenian throne. According to Armenian Chronicles, David IV refused to accept this and ruled in the name of Babu until his own death in 1072. This view, however, is considered to be a fabrication.

thank you very much
Thank you for the great tips. I have a MacBook Pro with Lion and haven't had any issues with running Mac OS X on it. I also have an early 2011 24" iMac with 10.8.4 that was built before the release of Lion. I have been able to run Parallels with the Windows 7 installation just fine. I was able to run Xcode 4.4 without any problems so I knew the hardware was good. I was able to use the Mac's Display Ports and connect my Thunderbolt Display to it without any problems. The only issue is that I have a lot of legacy software that requires Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard). I am not able to upgrade and get support for that software. Luckily it's only one application that I use which is Artdice.
You can install the version of Photoshop CS6 that came out last year for 10.8.4 and it has the same set of features as the current version of CS6. It includes all of the new features such as the Content-Aware Move and Content-Aware Fill.
So I just downloaded Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 from the Mac App store. When I try to install it, I get the error message "Requires Mac OS X 10.9 or later." I downloaded the Mac OS X 10.8.4 updater and it did not bring up any version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 on the Mac App store.
I have a Mac Pro with Lion installed and I can run CS5.5 without a problem.
Do I need to have the full 10.8 update installed on my Mac Pro or can I run the previous version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC without a problem? I would prefer to run the Mac App store version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 than to install it from the website.
You have to use the Mac update for that OS. If you are not up to date, that program will not work.
If you're running CS5.5, then you won't need a new application. If you are not, then you need to download Premiere Pro CC 2014 and reinstall it. That should update it to the latest version.
